Website Awards

April 2008 The Reffell Family History website is very pleased to announce that it has been granted the Platinum award from the Heritage Awards for Genealogical Websites. This is an body who consider the merits of non-commercial genealogical websites against standards for content, presentation and technical ability. The website was awarded 102 points out of a possible 100 (don't worry about the maths, bonus points are available!) putting it in the highest category that they award.

Their award citation reads; 'We are pleased to attach our platinum award for your outstanding website. This is a great site, not only for your family members, but for anyone interested in the geographical/subject areas your site covers. ... the depth and breadth of information available on the public side together with the high technical standards embodied in your work qualified your website for our program's highest honor'.

January 2009 The Reffell Family History website is also very pleased to announce that it has been granted the Vintage Kin Red Ribbon Award. These awards are merit based and granted to sites that contribute to the preservation of family history; and/or sites that promote community values.
The Red Ribbon is awarded to; 'Sites in this category display an advanced level of web design; provide outstanding site content; and offer exceptional value to the genealogical community.'

The Reffell Family History website is proud to be recognised in these independent ways, it makes all the time and effort spent over the years putting it all together worthwhile.
