Hendon Park Cemetery was opened in 1899 on fields belonging to Dollis Farm, by the Abney Park Cemetery Abney Park Cemetery Company. This ancestry can be seen at the entrance with its half-timbered gate house and gothic signing.
There is a war memorial at the eastern end of the cemetery that commemorates 27 of those who fell in the Second World War.
