Thanks Go To..

Over the years many people and organisations have helped me with researching the history of the Reffells Bexley Brewery, but only a few can be mentioned here:-

Jim Packer – First and foremost in my thanks must be to Jim and his unceasing help in all things Bexley and the associated beer industry of the area. The author of two books about Bexley pubs; Bexley Pubs: The History of Your Local (1995)Lost Pubs of Bexley – Pubs created after 1830 and since closed (2005), he has been so generous with his time and support of the brewery researches over a very long time.

Kip Waistell – The grandson of the brewery’s long standing Managing Director Percy Hugh Waistell, Kip has been very supportive over many years and has provided many of the breweriana photographs on this website. I had the privilege of meeting his late aunt Eileen in 2002 who told me so much about the brewery from the perspective of one who had been there.

I was very grateful to the then Mayor of Bexley in 2009 for allowing me to hold and photograph the Corporation Mace given by Reffells Bexley Brewery to the new Municipal Borough of Bexley in 1937.

Over the years many other people have kindly supplied photographs on the website including Andy Barber, and many others.

A big thank you to all!
