Hendon Park War Memorial, Holders Hill, London

Situated in the Hendon Park Cemetery there are two parts to this monument, that to the north (to the left of the photograph) commemorates those who died in the First World War, whilst that to the south (on the right) contains the names of 27 of those who fell in the Second World War.

The inscription on the Second World War monument reads:-
“HERE ARE RECORDED THE NAMES OF MEMBERS OF HIS MAJESTY’S FORCES WHO DIED IN THE SERVICE OF THEIR COUNTRY
1939 – 1945
THIRTY SIX LIE BURIED IN OTHER PARTS OF THIS CEMETERY
FOURTEEN WERE CREMATED
FULL SERVICE PARTICULARS AND GRAVE NUMBERS ARE RECORDED IN THE REGISTER”
